well, then i guess i just really screwed up.
like they say, because of all the zombie stuff that we are exposed to... and i know that i do this.
we actually look for zombies, or symptoms/action of zombies. havent you ever wondered if the drunk walking down the street is a zombie or just a drunk? then you quickly think of what you would do in either case?
those of us that are really into zombies have a higher chance of identifying and surviving A zombie encounter. im not saying anything about a group of them
keep in mind that everything we know about zombies including the origin of the concept of a reanimated corpse all came from movies and video games. zombies might not hold any resemblance to their media-counterparts. zombies might not be sluggish and moan "braiiiiinnnsssss" after all, they are/were human, humans can run, it would make sense that they could too. and being revived from the dead as a zombie is a bit impossible, primarily because if your body isn't producing ATP (adenine TriPhosphate, a vital catalyst for muscle movement) then you aren't going anywhere. and its distributed via flowing, oxygenated blood. so it would be impractical for someone to come back from the dead, and immediately start walking around with a craving for brains. its more likely that only living humans will be infected with this plague/virus/parasite/pathogen or whatever form it will come in. forget everything you thought you knew about zombies if it came from a movie or game, because in all likelihood, its impractical. instead we need to rely on science(think human anatomy, chemistry, etc) to detect and defeat zombies.
well the hole brains thing is just a old movie stereo-type that stopped in the 70's. the only movie to use that afterwards was some of the living dead series, which is the worst creations of zombies EVER.
and when you read on the ZRS site, they do talk about how the virus changes the body of the victim. they dont breath, which doesnt explain the moan, but for all we know they could survive on photosynthesis.
the virus does something to the body to allow them to be able to move no matter how decayed they are. the brain is also altered. though its max brooks you could look at the ZSG at solanum.
if by some small chance they do want brains. it would have to make them a supernatural creature or there would only be 1 zombie. removing the brain kills them right? so if a zombie eats brains, it couldnt create more zombies cause they have no brains.
will all our hopes for zombies, they romero type does seem like it would never happen, with all of the questions we raise here, it does seem the least possible. this is probably why someone wrote 28 days and the rage type zombie. its more possible with the altered type of rabies virus.
alot of the best of us will get infected on accident like we hit someone and go to see if there ok if they look odd drive off but most likely alot of us will get infected b4 we know the apocalypse is happening
well if they look dead, they probably are. and trying to loot a corpse without putting a shot in their head will just end up getting you killed.
so what if you hit someone, if there is an outbreak. i dont mean presently. if things are going for a shit, you cant trust anyone. you dont know if they plan on stealing your stuff, killing you or the worst thing infected and havent turned.
ya cause you want someone to turn Z in the back seat right behind you..
From what I've read is that their skin is also discolored to a grey color, and they do not respond to any kind of social interaction normally. So my thoughts is if you encounter zombie, try to get a look at the color of the skin. If that doesn't work just say hello, only with a gun pointed towards its head.
